The Mexican restaurant Doña Irma is a great authentic Mexican restaurant established and run by folks from southern Mexico, from Chiapas to be specific, as they told me.
The family who runs the Doña Irma is very cordial and friendly and easy-going. The restaurant itself is colorful as it is supposed to be for a Mexican restaurant run by Mexicans. This place represents this special charm of Mexico.
It is also perceived as a cultural meeting point by many Mexicans and Latin Americans in Vienna, to keep up with their traditions.
The food is delicious and the drinks are good as well. I had a strawberry cocktail and a burrito con pollo, so a chicken burrito, with salad and a yogurt cream on top of it.
Here you have the photos in the slide show:
The Bottom Line: The Doña Irma, located in the Löwengasse 29, in 1030 Wien, is a great place to experience the charm of Mexico in Vienna. It is easy to reach, since still close to the city center, about 15 minutes by foot.
