Zum Schinakl is a nice traditional Viennese restaurant at the Alte Donau in vicinity of the Vienna International Center, aka United Nations, UNO City. That’s also where this places’ name derives from, as Schinakl is a term for a special kind of ship and this place is located right at the river banks of the Old Danube, the Alte Donau.
The interior is nice and traditional Austrian in style with many little niches to have good talks with good friends.
Here at Zum Schinakl you can have these typical Viennese, respectively Austrian dishes like the Wiener Schnitzel, or the Zwiebelrostbraten, which we both enjoyed. For dessert I had a Café Verlängerter and Rhabarberkuchen, a pieplant cake. Yummy yummy!
But see foot yourself:
And here is the famous slide show:
The Bottom Line: Zum Schinakl, located in Laberlweg 19, 1220 Wien, is a nice Austrian Restaurant at the river bank of the Old Danube, where you get delicious traditional Austrian dishes.
